This is a very loose under-painting of the newest and the biggest work.
I have encountered several studio problems.
1. I cannot turn the work because the ceiling isn’t high enough. Have to lay the thing down, rotate, prop back up.
2. No smooth wall to work upon. But remembered my old professor, Marlatt saying she used to pin her canvas directly onto the wall. I have made a “wall” out of plywood and stapled the canvas to it.
3. The lighting is funny so I have to drag the thing over to the open door to see it in natural light.
I like studio problems though because they can change the way I work. Sometimes the problems can force new behaviors and sometimes new techniques arise out of this struggle.
